Breadcrumbs aren't bravery¶

Breadcrumbs are not bravery -- they are a fear-driven bid for access without accountability, and they are not the same as a real conversation.

Starting a real conversation means owning the rupture, risking rejection, and being vulnerable; breadcrumbs let the avoidant test the waters without any of that exposure.
A breadcrumb says "I want access to you"; a conversation says "I am willing to meet you where it hurts."
A breadcrumb is driven by fear and keeps you stuck in confusion; a real conversation offers clarity even if the answer is hard.
When the "hey stranger" text arrives, or they like a post after months of silence, pause and ask: do I want a breadcrumb or a conversation?
