Signs A Woman Finds You Deeply Attractive

The therapist claims women signal attraction subtly (unlike men, whose interest is obvious), and lists mostly subconscious, research-cited nonverbal cues.

Key points

  • Higher voice pitch (2010 study): women used a higher pitch in voicemails to a man they found attractive vs others; subconscious. Caveat: a higher pitch can also mean shyness or relaxed comfort.
  • Expansive/forward-leaning body language (2016): women attracted to someone lean toward them; to rule out mere topic-interest, watch whether the lean persists across multiple subjects (then it is about you).
  • Reduced interpersonal distance (2004): greater romantic interest decreases proximity; even her objects (phone, drink, jewelry she fiddles with) drift toward you, a subconscious transfer of emotional attachment.
  • Body orientation toward you: torso, shoulders, hips, knees angle toward the person of interest even when not talking, and even in a group while someone else speaks (therapist's family-session examples).
  • Linguistic mimicry (2010): she picks up your words, catchphrases, and phrasing.
  • Speech-pattern mimicry (same 2010 research): subtler, she copies your cadence and filler patterns, not just words; harder to detect but a distinct signal.
