A montage of Robert Greene interview clips on The Art of Seduction, overlapping heavily with the channel's other seduction compilations. (Re-titled compiled footage; his framework, not cited research.)
Key points¶
- Think of everyone as having thick defensive walls (especially in the 21st century); the game is to thin those walls and find "penetrating points" to enter their mind. The ultimate power is when they think about you in your absence - "that's half the game."
- Seduction is a mostly non-verbal language to be mastered like French: a language of gesture, body language, and the energy/confidence/charisma that emanates from you (the nine seducer types).
- Surprise over predictability: take them somewhere unexpected; give a gift that proves you listened to what they love rather than an obvious expensive one.
- Create mystery and send mixed signals so they cannot predict you. It is a "language of absence and presence" - let 2-3 days pass without contact so they wonder and start trying to please you ("cruelty is part of seduction"), but do not vanish so long they forget you or distrust you.
- Master that language and looks stop mattering - "seduction is a game of psychology."
- The same mechanism sells products and wins elections; indirectness disarms where directness repels.
- Don't be obvious; play a little hard to get and do not reply instantly - it signals you have other things (and people) going on and raises your perceived value.
- Seduction is theater that lifts people out of drab daily life: dressing up and choosing an atmospheric restaurant is a "good form of manipulation" that shows effort.
